Composer & Lyricist
Korrie Yamaoka is a composer and singer-songwriter based in San Diego, California, whose music blends elements of folk, pop, and jazz. With influences such as Ani DiFranco, Ben Folds, and Tori Amos, her music is known for its heartfelt lyrics, catchy melodies, and intricate piano work.
After spending many years as a music director in the San Diego area, Korrie is excited to return to her passion for writing and performing her own music. Here new song cycle, White Space, had its world premiere in 2024 and is currently in development to be expanded into a full length production.
