Hey! I’m Korrie Yamaoka, and I'm a composer/lyricist, vocal coach, music director, and host of the Studying the Song podcast, where I talk all things auditioning and vocal styling for musical theatre.

I’ve got a masters education in musical theatre history and repertoire as well as an undergraduate degree in classical piano and years of cover bands and singer songwriter performances. (See my official bio below for the deets.)

I’m a mom and wife. I’m vegan/plant-based. And, I ritually purchase plants and forget to water them. I dream of having a home herbal apothecary where I can cure my everyday ills with homemade potions and teas, but again, the watering factor!

Resume below. CV upon request.
